Decathlon

The brief
Develop a PR-Campaign that supports Decathlon’s ‘Just try’ campaign and includes the launch of the DECASHARE app. An innovative new app with which people can loan sporting equipment from another. So they can try a new sport without immediately buying the expensive equipment.

The idea ‘Just try’ campaign
Parents are keen on their kids practicing and trying all sorts of sports. Always have fun, do your best and never quit. But research showed that the sporting mentality of the parents is usually the complete opposite. It is easy to quit, definitely not considered fun and they hardly try something new. On this insight, we made a video, in which Kaj Gorgels interviews kids about their sporting activities and that of their parents. Only the parents were secretly listening in on the conversation. Slightly confronting but very funny.

The idea ‘DECASHARE’ app launch
To launch the new app and boost downloads and app usage we highlighted a very interesting first time user. Heavyweight kickboxing champion: Rico Verhoeven.
